How to clear cache, cookies, history, auto complete and passwords in Internet Explorer

Cleaning Internet ExplorerTemporary Internet files or cache is folder with copies of all web pages you visited, including images, sounds and cookies. Cache makes Internet browsing faster because browser can display files from cache instead of downloading them. If cache grows to big, it can have negative affect on browsing speed and can make IE act sluggish. If you are concerned about your privacy you should delete cookies, history, auto complete and passwords from time to time.

Clearing temporary Internet files (cache) in Internet Explorer:

1. In IE click menu “Tools”, than select “Internet options”

2. Click “Delete Files” button

3. Check “Delete all offline content”

4. Confirm by clicking on “OK” button (deleting may take same time)

Clearing all privacy related data (cookies, history, auto complete and passwords):

1. In IE click menu “Tools”, than select “Internet options”

2. Click “Delete Cookies” and confirm by clicking “OK”

3. Click “Clear History” and confirm by clicking “OK”

5. Click “Auto Complete” button

7. Click “Clear Passwords” and confirm by clicking “OK”

    You can also check in the pop-up blocker settings of pages to allow popups. Sometimes random pages you visit show up there, if you clicked to allow popups. Go to Tools>pop-up blocker>popup blocker settings.
