					<description>There is a freeware image viewer/editor called Irfanview that has similar resizing functionality built in.  I recommend it as the default viewer for all image types (gif, jpg, png, bmp, etc.)

But I will agree that for non-technical users, having a standalone resizer is a very good idea.

One quibble with your article:  I think 1024 by 768 or 100 KB is still too big.  Go for 800 by 600.  Your recipients will appreciate that.</description>
