AMD Cool'n'QuietCPUs are getting faster, hotter (and noisier due to more powerful cooling), and they consume more and more energy.

Most of the time processors are idling, so why not reduce their speed and voltage? This is where Cool’n’Quiet technology comes in. It allows the system to dynamically and automatically select CPU voltage and speed, depending on performance need. These changes can happen up to 30 times per second.
